BACK! With a vengeance

I'm back! After an unknown hiatus...

I got Maddie into a study to test the safety of lighters on July 18th at 9:30AM and July 19th at 9:45AM. I'm super excited!!! She's going to be with other kids her age, she's going to love it. On the plus side, we get $80! I'll probably go out and buy her some new toys after :)

Chris and I are installing a new 'couple' rule: It's US WEEK!!!!! One week out of the month (probably the 2nd week) we have 'Us Week'. It is a week long, and we set up activities to do each day of the week. I get odd months, he gets even months. We spend us week ONLY TOGETHER! He can't go by his friends, go out, ect ect. I'm going to love it.

Different activities we can do are:
Baking night
Game night
Card game night
Video game night
Computer game night
Massage night
Work out night
Cleaning night
Family fun night
And date night on saturday or sunday (pending babysitters!)

I'm super excited. I will update this with my plans for US WEEK which is next week. I might update in a day or in 2 minutes, we'll see!

Something funny Maddie said: "My tummy hurts because Grandma gave me two smurshmellows!"

My life has been a little crazy lately... Chris quit his job and hasn't found another one yet. He has an interview for a temp job tomorrow which ALSO scares me - but at least it's something. I'm only supposed to work 3 days a week, but have been working 4 days with TWO swing 9 hour shifts. It's taking a toll on me. Chris thinks I should work MORE and he should stay at home with the kids because I don't do anything. I try to push his comments aside but it's getting harder and harder...

I also almost killed us by accidentally forgetting about boiling Maddie's sippy cup and Brandon's bottle - so I filled the entire apartment with smoke. That was horrific.

On a positive note, Maddie is as funny as ever and Brandon is as chubby and cute as ever.

Me: Maddie, how do you spell Nana?
Maddie: N-A-...
Me: Oh yay she remembers!
Maddie: D-R-S!! Nana!!

Knock-Knock jokes!

Maddie: Orange..
Me: Oh I know this one, orange who?
Maddie: Orange Brandon!

Maddie: Knock knock!
Me: Who's there?
Maddie: Pear..
Me: Pear who?
Maddie: Pear........ Mommy!

Maddie: Knock knock!
Me: Who's there?
Maddie: Chicken pie!

She also was doing half somersaults, then told me, "That was fun, I MEEEEED to do this at Mickey Donalds. Chicken nuggets make me CRAZY!"

This is my new blog.

A little background on me... My name is Jessica. I'm 21 years old and I live in River Grove IL which is close to Chicago. I went to school for 2 years and I studied Accounting and Business Management. I plan on returning this fall - even if I take just one class.

Currently I work at Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, IL. I am a hostess at the Buffet. The job itself, guests, and the management drive me NUTS - but I love my coworkers so they make it tolerable!

The best word to describe me would be: Mom. I am a mom, and I love it. I have two kids - Maddison Rose (3.5) and Brandon Michael (3 months). They mean the absolute WORLD to me. They really are the reason why the sun shines every single day.

So much of this blog will be stuff about them. New things Brandon does, crazy things Maddie says... ect. Oh, and you pronounce their last name as "Bres-Key" rather than "Bro-ski" :)
